Looking for a dynamic, accomplished Captain (or Couple as Captain & Stew) for this specialized search of a capable USCG Licensed YACHT CAPTAIN to oversee and be fully reliable, responsible and accountable for a fleet of vessels, currently 3 vessels and looking to expand. Licensed for excess 80', all yachts are US Flag. This is a year-round, full time engagement with the owner - best base of operations is Ft. Lauderdale or West Palm Beach, (never living on the yacht) You will be expected to live on property when the vessel is in the Hamptons. The principal is looking for an energetic, resourceful Captain who researches local destination to ensure an enjoyable and educational experience an plan trips with an interest in mind. They want a clean smooth running vessel at all times. Must be computer comfortable to manage budgets and operating costs, vendor relations and full provisioning and errands. Trouble shoot mechanical, electrical and systems, problem solving and astute security minded is of course key. Must have impeccable standards and incident free experience upon vessels 80' and more. Electrical and Mechanical experience. Former long term experience, eligible to work in the USA, clean background, team building, good character references. A thorough deep-dive background will be conducted. It is critical the crew understands the lifestyle goals of the principal to ensure their enjoyment of the fleet is maximized and their needs are prioritized. The Crew will present to the principal everything in their care in a use ready condition based on the principal's schedule and desire. Duties include but are not limited to: Full maintenance schedule of all yachts sometimes servicing personally Knowledge & ability to maintain safety systems and mitigate risk Initiate a program of preventative maintenance and care on all assets Supervise contractors servicing systems and ensure pricing is fair and true Seek support from references and qualified personnel when confronted with challenges Approve and class expenses for main offices Embrace technology and assist the owners and guests as needed Oversee trips and excursions. Flexibility to be based anywhere in the world for extended periods of time. Have ownership of each vessel and be able to answer any question asked regarding the respective vessel. Create curated itineraries that reflect Principal and his guests' needs. Should be heavily detailed and flexible. Always considering any external factors (e.g. weather, emergencies, provisioning needs, travel of guests, etc).
