LIVE IN HOUSEKEEPER, UES Our Housekeepers' main job is to make sure client's property and all rooms within are tidy and clean at all times. As well as preparation and continual care of the property, the role also involves report writing, providing training to staff, including demonstrating the use of equipment and materials. Housekeeper is required to organize their own workload as well as workload of any staff reporting to them. Interviewing potential employees and recruiting cleaning staff also forms part of the role. Skills • Having leadership abilities • Being able to work with and organize a team • Having high attention to detail • Being able to stay calm under stressful situations • Having abilities to prioritize and delegate tasks and duties • Being proactive and flexible • Having good communication skills Responsibilities • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation to all rooms, including windows, floor treatments, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, care of upholstery, fabric, glass, leather, etc., and careful attention to cleaning of paintings and antiques • Service all bedrooms and corridors in line with cleaning schedule and based on your building cleaning planner (daily/ weekly/ monthly/ visit tasks) to include deep cleaning of bathrooms, equipping bathrooms with toiletries, towels, etc., regular running of taps during absences to clear pipes, attention to limescale, etc • Create and work to daily job lists and help cleaners where necessary • Maintain the stocking levels of all consumables • Upkeep of staff quarters • Making house ready for visits (beds, liaison with Client's staff on food requirements, etc.) • Upkeep of Kitchen, kitchen equipment, cutlery, china, linen, cooking utensils, etc. • Upkeep of laundry and machines, washing, ironing, storage • Upkeep of cleanliness of steam bath, gymnasium. • Checking correct function of televisions, satellite and all media, and heating and air-conditioning, and lighting • Reporting all breakages, leaks, and maintenance and aesthetic upkeep requirements to Property Manager and keeping an overview on Maintenance Contractor. • Upkeep of Inventory (furniture, antiques and paintings, linen, cutlery and china, etc) • Keeping an overview on house staff (cleaning, laundry, etc) day to day where applies and during visits • Upkeep of Petty Cash expenditure • Report and investigate any maintenance issues immediately to Maintenance engineer/ contractors/ line manager • Liaise with site contractors on minor issues directly • Complete all periodical tasks, such as rotating mattresses, cleaning curtains and dusting lamp shades • Be professional at all times and immaculately dressed (visit dress code and daily dress code) • Build and maintain good relationships with all team members • Work together with the team to ensure that the house is the best it can be • Be willing to take on jobs to balance the team workload • Clean laundry in line with client requirements (separate family and staff laundry) • Fulfill all reasonable requests from the client and their guests, to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety • Report any security issues to line manager and site security • Carry out instructions given by the management team and head office • Learn and know how to operate all the equipment in the house • Schedule staff • Weekly reporting to Property Manager • Any further requirements within reason to carry out the function, cleanliness and running of the house The list includes general job description of the Housekeeper but it is not limited to the above and will be reviewed regularly following project works completion on site
