GROUNDSKEEPER - LONG ISLAND A beautiful estate, once finely tuned and impeccably manicured requires the caring attention of a true professional to elevate the visual appeal, health of specimen plantings and to restore the very beautiful grounds which have not had the loving care required of late. This is a large and very pristine property which needs the expert TLC to restore it's condition. Knowledge of all aspects of lawn and grounds care is essential. The ability to plant tiered flower beds, cutting garden and care for historical trees, shrubs and plants in addition to the overall grounds care of lawn health and pest prevention. Care of ponds, pool and lap pool, cabanas/pool house, fire pit, specimen plantings, cutting garden and vegetable garden. The estate has a full team of wonderful staff that really work well together and do a fantastic job in their various duties so it will be important to accent the team by being in the position to meld with the staff team and best utilize their strengths to augment your day. It will be important to being excellent technical experience in lawn management/applications, ability to diagnose and take care of problems before it becomes and eye-sore, and attention to fine details, administrative skills will also be necessary to ensure proper monitoring of expenses and the ordering and stocking of supplies and maintenance of all necessary equipment. Candidates must drive and have the mechanical and technical ability to provide handyman oversight and handy-work around the house during the off season. The family is looking for well-mannered professional who understand the needs of estate work and have extensive experience working in estate landscaping.
